Bestival Moves to Fresh Location for 2017

Dust off your pop-up tent, get your festival gear out of the cupboard, and start planning your weekend costumes because Bestival is back and ready to ‘increase the peace’ this September at a brand new location in Dorset!

The Bestival Bot!

The Festival, curated by Rob da Bank, has been running for the last 14 years on the Isle of Wight, but this year has decided to freshen up and turn over a new leaf by re-locating to Lulworth Estate in Dorset.

This year’s location promises a completely new site layout, the center of which being a brand new main stage incorporating the castle which stands in the center of the estate. To kick off the new era for the festival, they have decided to explore the wonders of colour throughout the site so expect plenty of themed decoration and costumes.

Bestival 2016

Bestival has always been known to have a lineup which caters for everyone, from indie rock to grime, techno to folk, and this year is no exception. The first wave of acts has been announced with headliners The xx, A Tribe Called Quest and The Pet Shop Boys. A new second stage named ‘The Box’ will see performances from Jamie T, Lucy Rose and everyone’s favourite garage group Kurupt FM.

If you enjoy a bit more thump in your festival experience, the brand new ‘Temple’ stage (replacing Temple Island at the Isle of Wight Location) will be bringing us 4 days of world class dance music with the likes of Annie Mac, Andy C, Jackmaster, Maceo Plex, and Dusky just to name a few.

If you’ve been to Bestival before, you’ll know that they pay attention to the little things in order to create a completely unique experience. This September will be no exception, with lots of surprises still in store so keep your eyes peeled for more announcements in the run up to the festival.
