After a summer filled with headline slots at festivals and events all over the world, this Friday one of drum and bass’ biggest acts is gracing Brighton’s seafront with what is set to be a night fuelled by the sounds of one of Austria’s finest musical exports – Camo & Krooked.
Promoters Worried About Henry have managed to book a spectacular line-up at The Arch nightclub in Brighton. Supporting C&K are the likes of Emperor, Sub Zero and a B2B from local DJs Arcane and Stature + more, this event is not one to be missed. For those of you heading to Boundary festival on Saturday this is the perfect way to start a weekend filled with drum and bass madness.
Camo & Krooked, who earlier this year released their fourth studio album “Mosaik” onto their brand-new label, also named Mosaik which has the backing of scene heavyweights Ram Records. The record has gone from strength to strength, making waves around the globe thanks to the phenomenal production values C&K are renowned for and fantastic line up of featured artists that have appeared on the album. Radio play from the likes of Friction on BBC Radio 1 and their Essential mix debut also this year is widely regarded as one of the best ever.
In May, CJFM was invited up to Fabric nightclub in London for the album launch party. Support from the likes of Dimension, Mefjus, Spectrasoul and many more throughout two rooms, the event was a testament to the duo’s ability to merge multiple genres such as Trap and Future Bass into a DnB record whilst also keeping old fans happy with their distinct and recognisable sound.
Camo & Krooked are constantly evolving, not only their sound but they are also helping to push the DnB scene as a whole forward. This is done through their use of novel technologies and instruments both in the studio and on stage, and they really have one of the best live sets I’ve ever seen. Fellow producers from across the genre and beyond both look up to them and take inspiration from their masterfully crafted sound.
With the new record they have reinforced themselves as one of the genres biggest acts and if you haven’t seen them before I implore you not to miss this as I’m sure it will be a night to remember. See you on the dance floor.
Camo & Krooked + support will be at The Arch nightclub this Friday the 29th September.
CJFM is hoping to get an interview with them so keep it locked on URF for more updates.
